Japanese summer

Summer in Nagoya is especially hot and humid! This year however, clouds are quite frequent, making august much more bearable than usual.
But if the weather changes, seasonal activities remain the same. I recently spent a weekend in Tokyo to meet friends and attend a beautiful fireworks. It was held in a park, nowhere close to any river, contrary to what I wrote last year...it might be the exception which proves the rule.
Anyway, the crowd was as amazing as usual. The gates had barely opened and people were already rushing inside:

Some groups are perfectly equipped, with even inflatable sofas!

As for us, once sat down, we just had to wait for the latecomers:

Summer in Japan is also characterized by its open-air beer gardens, where the food (pretty bad to be honest) is only served for form's sake. It's still very enjoyable, because Japan does not have the sidewalk cafes culture and such occasions are rare. And after all, the goal is just to spend a nice moment between friends!
Last saturday, at Chuunichi building, right in the center of Nagoya:
