Virus and vacation
09/01/2009
My web hosting company has apparently been attacked twice, on Aug 28th and Sep 1st. Some of you, while surfing on my website, have probably been warned by their antivirus software of a worm/virus with the following message: "HTML:Iframe-inf".
Detail of the attack: all index files were automatically replaced with what seemed to be identical files, with the exception of one line added at the end and containing an iframe with a link to a suspicious url.
Of course, I informed my web hosting company. As far as I'm concerned, I can fix the problem in a couple of seconds (by replacing the infected files) but I cannot take pre-emptive measures, although there is one thing I am going to try...And since it's already happened twice in just a few days, it is likely to happen again. If that's the case, please contact me via email as soon as possible.
Besides, I will be on vacation in France from the 2nd (yes, tomorrow!) to the 15th, therefore there most likely won't be any update while I am there (unless you want some pictures from France?). But I will be back with my third mount Fuji climb, as well as another post about a peculiar Japanese hobby...I also wanted to write about last sunday's historical election, but I just have to much work to finish before I leave.
